Girls Varsity Soccer · Kendall Fields Seeks to Become First Collegiate Soccer Player in Recent School History

Congratulations to Senior Girls’ Soccer player Kendall Fields!

Kendall was named to the All-Southwest Ohio team by the soccer coaches of the southwest district.  Kendall was also named a fall all-star by the Cincinnati Enquirer.  Kendall has offers to play soccer at the collegiate level from Tiffin, Great Lakes Community College, University of Valley Forge, Oak Hills Christian, Limestone College, and Johnson and Wales among others. Kendall led the team this season with 6 goals and 5 assists.

Kendall mentions her time here at Purcell Marian that “Playing soccer at Purcell Marian has really taught me how to be a leader. Coming into the soccer program at Purcell I came with a lot of experience and I did my best to lead them and help them in any way possible. This past season we were in the playoffs and I knew some of the girls never made it to a playoff game on the team. At the beginning of the 2nd half, I had gotten injured and they thought I broke my leg, I wasn’t sitting on the bench crying because I was in pain or I had to go to the hospital it was because I couldn’t lead my team to come back and win. No matter what position my coaches needed me to play I was always open to trying new things”.

The recruiting process for me started out stressful because I didn’t think I was going to continue playing at the next level and I did not want to be rushed while trying to pick the best option for me and my family. But the more and more coaches that I have been in contact with are very understanding and will do their best in helping me chose where is best for me whether it’s playing for them or another program.

Kendall had a great season and career for the Cavaliers and we are excited to see where she will take her soccer talents for college.  Once again, congrats to senior Kendall Fields.
